Along with the ever increasing popularity of Twitter, making these services were big targets for the spammers to send spam. Not remain silent, the site manager was preparing new spam filter features. Previously, users had to send a message to @ spam account, if you receive a strange message to be reported as spam. However, it considered how to twitter users so much difficult.
As quoted by PC World. Sunday (18/10/2009), Twitter Development instantly responsive and create new features that will be made easier. Later, the user can send a spam report with just clicking on the “Report as Spam” which will appear at the bottom of each user profile.
Although easy, the manager of this site will not automatically take action against these spam reporting results. So the user can not report or account sending messages as spam or spammer, simply because the user did not like that person. However, through the tool “Report as Spam” it, Twitter users who reported a profile as the senders of spam, it will automatically be blocked from the profile follower or the following list users.
