Author: New netbook created two years ago has become a global phenomenon. Mini laptop was able to obtain high growth in the computer sales were weaker. But the netbook has now reached saturation point and could soon withered.
DisplaySearch research firm estimates that more than 8 million netbooks sold in the second quarter, up 40% compared to the previous quarter. Netbook sold to students as a cheap computer, in developing countries like China, India and Latin America.
Intel Corp., based in Austin created the Atom chip for energy-efficient computers designated as market expansion efforts. Netbook now contribute 22% of all portable computer sales in the second quarter, up 6% from the previous.
